Powered By: Blogger | || Monday, January 23, 2006 || Py is already at the OR, as I post this.Since yesterday, he's shown signs of fluid retention that caused his face to swell. They say that it's likely because of the dosage of the antibiotics being administered to him. Anyway, I shall go about my business with bated breath... may my nephew survive this one. UPDATE: 4:11 PM Pyro has been released from the OR and is now recuperating in the ICU. He's also woken up. The tumor taken from him is on its way to St. Luke's for further analysis, as they found cheese-like consistency there that they want to be looked into. I had it all wrong, the tumor was actually outside of his right lung (but grew to what was supposedly the size of a lung) and was not able to develop nerves to attach (and contaminate, is that the right word?) itself to Pyro's vital organs. It was aggressive, yes, but not so bad. So yes, even though Py has rehabilitation, more tests and more chemo treatments ahead of him... we're all able to breathe a little easier now. And smile :) |
